The 1111 sketchbook uses 127 GSM acid-free paper selected for strength and responsiveness. The weight supports dry media and repeated handling while maintaining clarity across both sides of each sheet.

The block is hand-sewn in sections and opens flat across the desk. This lay-flat structure ensures the full square surface remains usable despite the compact dimensions.

1111 Sketchbook

What a beautiful little book! I almost don’t want to use it, it’s so pretty and perfect. I’m no artist, but I know a piece of wonderful craftsmanship when I see it, and I know this book will help me with my plan to ‘do a drawing a day’ with no attachment to the outcome. I might even use it to collect hand-embroidered fabric samples because the pages open out completely (I totally love this about my Basenotes book), meaning you don’t have to keep pressing down to view your work. I can imagine the book becoming concertina-like as it collects all the treasures I’ve collected. It’s a thing of beauty and worth every penny.
